Ultimate Fighter 10 should be very entertaining with all heavy weights. The hype has been going on for a while. Everyone knows by now that Kimbo Slice will be on the show this season. Which is great due to the fact that Dana White has talked so much shit about Kimbo. As fun as that subject is. The real reason I will be watching the show. Is to watch Rashad and Rampage talking shit. Good call Dana! This will be very entertaining. In the beginning of the show the two started messing with each other as they waited for the fighters to come to the gym. Rampage taunting Evans about his last loss. Rashad asking how many times Rampage has lost comparing it to his one loss. As soon as Kimbo was introduced to the show Rampage wanted him for his team. Rashad was happy with this choice. The smack talking never really ended between the two coaches through the whole show. Rashad won the coin toss to see who gets to choose between picking the first two fighters or picking the first person to join their team. Rashad chose to pick the first fighter.
This week they introduced us to 16 fighters. A good mix of big ass dudes. From ex NFL players to ex IFL champs to Internet Sensations. Kimbo Slice is a good choice for the show to get some hype. I do not agree with Rampage choosing him before checking out his skills. He just might get his ass whooped in his first fight. I can't wait to see him fight. I hope he wins the show just to prove everyone wrong. I do not think it will happen though....
Rampage chose the first fight to be between his fighter Abe Wagner(6-1) and Jon Madsen(1-0) from team Evans. Rampage felt strong about his choice. Rashad was immediately satisfied with the choice Rampage made and felt confident his fighter would win. He even stated that none of his fighters would lose to anyone on Rampages team.
Abe Wagner the self admitted computer geek says yes to having a good job but wants people to know he fights because he wants to not because he has too. He watches what he eats before fights because he throws up before fights. He has ju jitsu and stand up on his side.
Jon Madsen has a history in college wrestling. This will be part of Jons game plan. Rashad noticed that Abe Wagner does not have a good ground game and wants Jon to take him down and put the ground and pound on him.
Round 1: Sticking to the game plan Jon Madsen scores an easy take down and gets to work. He holds Abe on the ground for a while before posturing up and dropping big elbows and rights. Which open up the forhead of Abe. Abe is loosing a lot of blood. Messing up the matt real good. Jon Madsen keeps Abe on his back and keeps laying down the punishment. Abe was on his back the whole round. When the round ends I was not the only one to think he would not come back out. That cut shows to be really bad. Even Dana White stated that this fight might be the bloodiest fight in the shows history. I agree.
Round 2: Jon Shoots for the take down. Gets it. Immediately the cut on Abe's forhead opens back up. After a little rolling around on the ground with not much action the ref stands them up again. Jon sticking to the game plan of his coach continues with taking Abe down. Both fighters are very slow at this point. Jon being the fresher of the two is dominating with his take downs. There is nothing Abe can do. The ref stands them up again. Jon lands a big take down this time getting his second win dropping as many blows as he can before tiring out again. Rampage walks off pissed at his fighter and his coaching admitting later that it might not have been a wise decision.
Team Evans scores their first victory by decision. The best part of that fight was the gash on Abe's face. He looked like a Horror Movie Victom! It looked like he was attacked by an ax. Either way I am hyped on the show. I can't wait to see Kimbo Slice fight.
